It has become clear to be that AI is ushering in a new era in which the lines between writing and building are becoming blurred (one of my favorite examples is the company Every, check them out!). Writing used to be done for human eyes (and still is, of course!), but increasingly there is a need to write prompts that the machines can best understand and operationalize. This, I am finding, is a craft in itself.
My hypothesis is the way learning to code became so important in the Internet era (though I am somehow a longtime tech entrepreneur who never did), with AI, learning to prompt effectively is becoming an increasingly important life skill.
I have no resources/time to pursue this at the moment, but someone (maybe me and TNN?) should build ‘School of Prompt’, which can be an academy to train the next generation of prompters (i.e. everyone) to be more effective at leveraging AI for whatever the heck you do.
Stay tuned!
